New Delhi, Feb 25: Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit clarified on her comments about Rahul Gandhi, made during a recent interview with a leading national daily and added that the Congress Vice President has "the sensitivity of a mature leader".
Media reports mocked the Congress Vice President after party veteran Dixit, stated in a newspaper interview on Thursday that Rahul Gandhi was "still not mature as his age does not allow him to be mature".
Her comments were quickly lapped on by Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah, who ridiculed Gandhi saying "immature Rahul should be kept at home" instead of being sent to Uttar Pradesh.
With "Don't twist my words" hashtag, Dixit on Friday took to twitter to clarify her comment. "Rahul has the sensitivity and concern of a mature leader. His words are those of a young, courageous and restless man," Dixit said.
The interview also asked Dixit about her absence from the UP campaigning ever since the allaince with Samajwadi Party has been declared.To which she replied that as a party loyalist she has been campiagning without any media hype as she stands by her party decision and would help in every way possible.
