A sorcerer, who was allegedly ‘administering’ treatment through voodoo or black magic on a young girl and killing her in the process in a most savage manner, was held by the Kerala police near Pathanamthitta late on Monday evening.

Sirajuddin, (36), the notorious sorcerer, was absconding since last Sunday following the death of the young girl in Alapuzha district in Kerala.

Hassena (27), suffering from a certain psychological disorder, had been under his ‘treatment’ since long. According to the postmortem report she died due to brutal physical attack.

In this connection the girl’s father, including an accomplice of the wizard too was arrested earlier. The police suspected, the physical attack was committed with the full consent of her father who had consciously allowed the sorcerer to treat her daughter.
