SP-BSP eye seats in Madhya Pradesh elections

The ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) have set their eyes on neighbouring Madhya Pradesh as it goes to poll November 25.
While the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will campaign for party candidates in Madhya Pradesh (MP), BSP chief Mayawati will also address three rallies in the state.
The state is seeing a straight fight between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress.
SP spokesman Rajendra Chowdhary told IANS that the party was "taking the state assembly polls in five states very seriously" and party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav was himself monitoring the campaigning.
Akhilesh Yadav had addressed three rallies Sunday- Panna, Satna and Nagaur. The party has put up 50 candidates in MP assembly elections.
Last time SP had put up many candidates but to little success. BSP had grabbed seven seats in 2008 state assembly elections and is considered a power balancer in some pockets, specially tribal and Dalit dominated areas.
Rajya Sabha MP from BSP, Brijest Pathak told IANS that Mayawati would address rallies at Jabalpur and Rewa Monday.
