Telangana to finalise industrial policy in a week

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao Monday announced that the state's industrial policy will be finalised within a week.
He directed the officials to acquire all land available for industry and transfer the same to Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC). He also suggested that for industries to be set up on this land, the government should take all approvals in advance.
KCR, as Rao is popularly known, said on the land transferred to TSIIC, proper infrastructure should be provided and industrial areas should be created. He asked officials to upload location of the industrial areas, air, road, rail connectivity and other details on the website. He said the prospective investors anywhere in the world should be able to Google these details.
At a meeting with top officials on the proposed industrial policy, the chief minister said approval from Pollution Control Board (PCB) was not required for all industries and asked the officials to prepare the list of such industries.
KCR asked officials to ensure that the townships for the employees come up close to the industrial areas. He wanted clarity within a week on how the single window system and chasing cell in the chief minister's office will function and what are the new legislations required for the purpose.
