Congress lawmaker Shashi Tharoor has to face trial in the case related to the death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar. The court asked Shashi Tharoor to appear on June 7.

Delhi police had submitted an FIR on 14th of last month charging Tharoor for abetting the suicide of his wife Sunanda Pushkar, who was found dead in a five-star hotel in Delhi in 2014.

The police informed court that Sunanda's e-mails and her messages in social media could be considered as her dying declaration.

Police say Sunanda had emailed her husband few days before her death that " I have no desire to live…all I pray for is death".

Sunanda emailed this to Tharoor on January 8 and on January 17, after nine days, she was found dead in a five-star hotel in Delhi
