Three 'bricks and tin' shanties – each four-storied tall, cave in at Bandra’s Naupada area near railway station on Monday evening, the police informed on Tuesday.
The Naupada – a slum with high density population flanks across a lone railway track that connects Bandra suburban railway station with Bandra Terminus.
Fire tenders reached the spot after twenty minutes of the tragic incident to clear the debris and no casualty was reported until now, according to fire brigade officials.
A few persons who got injured in the collapse were provided first aid treatment at Bhaba Hospital in Bandra.
The building collapsed after heavy shower with high-velocity wind hit Mumbai on Monday.
