Top cop booked for molestation

The Mumbai police have registered a case against the suspended Deputy Inspector General of Police Sunil Paraskar, who was reported to have outraged the modesty of a model, and his brother for allegedly molesting and intimidating a woman.

“We registered a case of molestation, intimidation and wrongful restraint against Sunil Paraskar and his brother Ravi yesterday,” Additional Commissioner of Police (North Region) Kishore Jadhav said.

According to police sources, the victim was a renter of Ravi’s house and he reportedly called her to his house in Kandivli, following which he threatened her and molested her.

Officials said the 57-year-old suspended IPS officer was also present at the time. Earlier, a 25-year-old model had alleged that Paraskar had molested and sexually assaulted her on two occasions in December 2013.
