NewDelhi:The opposition is looking at the likelihood that the National Democratic Alliance will manage to clear the controversial Triple Talaq bill in the Rajya Sabha after not sending the amendments to the Right to Information Act to a select committee last week. Most opposition parties took a public stand against the bill but the events that unfolded during the enactment of the RTI amendment bill made senior politicians uncertain about the Opposition's real strength when the Rajya Sabha push comes to shove.

The RTI bill was the first instance of the superior leadership abilities of NDA as it guided the bill through the upper house where it is in the minority.
