V.K. Singh alleges booth capturing by SP workers

BJP candidate V.K. Singh Thursday alleged that Samajwadi Party workers captured a polling station in Dhaulana while two leaders of the same party threatened his booth agent in Khoda in Ghaziabad. Both the incidents were reported to the Election Commission (EC).
Besides, the names of over 50,000 voters were found missing from the voters list. Many had queued up with identity and residence proof. About 3,000 defence staff of the Hindon Air Force station could not vote despite a Supreme Court order that defence personnel should be allowed to vote wherever they are on duty. These two cases have also been reported to the EC.
The former army chief was speaking to the media at the party office in Kavi Nagar after polling ended. He said Samajwadi Party leaders Binta Yadav and Rajpal Yadav issued threats to his party agent Amar Chand Thekedar.
In the Dhaulana booth capturing incident, he said Samajwadi Party workers held government officials hostage and cast votes at the polling station for more than an hour. He added that things became normal following his complaint to the observer.
