Veteran scribe MV Kamath dies

Seasoned scribe and former chairperson of Prasar Bharati MV Kamath has left for heavenly abode on Thursday morning in his native place Manipal in Karnataka, his close relative informed.

He was 94 and had been hospitalised for the past few days. He breathed his last around 6.30 AM, said his nephew Jairam Kamath.

"He had been ailing for some time due to old-age related problems and had been admitted to a hospital here…According to his last wishes…Not to keep his body for long, we shall perform the funeral rites today (Thursday) itself," Jairam told scribes.
