Vice President of India Mohd Hamid Ansari arrived in Mumbai on a 3 –day official visit on Monday (22 Sept). 

State Governor Vidyasagar Rao received him at the CSI Airport.  The Vice President who is accompanied by Smt Salma Ansari, is scheduled to interact with students and faculty of the Sophia Women’s College, Bhulabhai Desai Road, Mumbai on Tuesday morning.

Ansari will be visiting the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) in the afternoon on Tuesday where he is scheduled to interact with scientists and researchers from various disciplines.  

The Vice President will be visiting the Asiatic Society Library on Wednesday (24 Sept) morning.
