Rajnath Singh warned Pakistan against the armed conflict with India, claiming that with the strength of the Navy and the "powerful determination of our government … we can give a much larger blow."

The remarks of the Defence Minister follow Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan's speech at the UN General Assembly on Friday, in which he raised Kashmir's problem and cautioned the worldwide "consequences" body if India and Pakistan – two nuclear-armed countries – waged conflict. "India is proud of its Navy and can never forget its outstanding position in the 1971 war when Operation Trident and Operation Python broke Pakistan's navy backbone," he said while commissioning Scorpene-class attack submarine in Mumbai this morning.
