It’s official now; Summer has started. On Friday, Colaba recorded maximum temperature of 29.9 degrees C—1.3 degrees below normal—and Santacruz 33.8 degrees C—1 degree below normal. Maximum temperatures had stayed below the 30-degree mark since last week. Minimum temperature in Colaba was 20.2 degrees C—1.4 degrees below norm al—and in Santacruz, 16.2 degrees C—3.4 degrees below normal.
Last weekend, the minimum had dipped below the 15-degree mark on account of the rains. According to weather officials, “After holi the heat wave picks up and we can officially say Summer has started.”
Remarks Ravi Bhatija, a Mulund resident, “It was so hot on Friday that me and my friends decided not to play holi in the open, summer is very much here now.”
