A body of a young woman was found near sea beach at Chinchan locality in Palghar district of Maharashtra late on Friday evening, the local Police informed the Media Eye reporter here on Saturday.

The motive of murder of this 25-year old woman is still not ascertained; however the police suspect some family dispute behind the killing. A knife through which, the police believe, she had been killed was found from the scene of the crime. It was found some distance away from the body, the police said.

The police have sent the body for postmortem and started interrogating fishermen those who live near sea beach in Chinchan village.
