Woman raped by childhood friend on pretext of job

A 30-year-old fitness centre employee has been arrested for raping his childhood woman friend here after promising to provide her a job, police said Saturday.
Faizal, resident of Shahdara, raped the woman June 19 inside his gym in Jagatpuri area of east Delhi.
"Faizal had threatened the victim to kill her husband and children if she told police or anyone else. The woman somehow mustered courage and informed police Friday night about the incident," said a police official.
The accused was arrested after the victim's medial report confirmed rape, he said. "Faizal met the victim a few months ago and assured her to provide a job," said the official.
According to the official, the victim is Faizal's childhood friend and has been residing with her family in Shahdara after her marriage.
