Home Minister R.R.Patil flagged off a team  of women police beat marshall from Police gymkhana marine drive Mumbai yesterday.

 

To add to the safety  and assisting  women in the city from chain snatchers, eveteasers ,  Mumbai police has added a elite  team of women  beat marshall to its team.This will add for a prompt assistance as it is connected with the already existing women helpline number of the police department .Women beat marshall comprise of 200 women marshalls said R.R.Patil, women in Mumbai are safer in Mumbai and Maharashtra as compared to other cities and states in our country.Maharashtra has the higgfest number of women police as compared with other states and this year the police department of Maharashtra has recruited 4,500 women to its strength,and  will add atleast 20,000 more women police in the4 next four years he added and the nwomen beatmarshall team will also be doubled to its strength.
