A youth succumbed to his injury on Thursday, after a city builder’s son allegedly rammed his Mercedes into his motorcycle at Marine Drive. Mayur Kadam (24), who was working as an actress Trupti Bhoir’s manager, was declared dead before arrival in hospital, and a case has been registered against the accused at Marine Drive police station.

Mayur had gone for a late-night motorcycle ride to Marine Drive and was returning home when the accident occurred.

Around 11.30 pm, his bike was knocked down by a Mercedes (MH-46-AD-4646) in front of Oberoi Hotel. The car belongs to Kunal Vardhan, who is the joint MD of a prominent builder firm. Witnesses revealed the vehicle was driven away from the scene, and that Vardhan later took the victim to Bombay Hospital in a taxi.

He was declared dead before his arrival to the hospital. Meanwhile, Vardhan, silently disappeared from the scene without informing anyone.
