Today, the BJP and Shiv Sena, locked in a tussle over power sharing, met separately with the state governor. The two allies have been battling over the Sena's demand for a better deal since contesting the Maharashtra polls together and winning a majority. A delegation from Shiv Sena led by Diwakar Raote met in the morning with Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. The chief minister of the BJP, Devendra Fadnavis, met with him after that. The official word is that to exchange Diwali greetings, the delegations meet with the Governor."This morning at RajBhavan, Mumbai, Hon Governor Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari ji and wished him Diwali. He also learned about the current scenario," Mr Fadnavis tweeted after the meeting. The governor must invite the largest single party to form the government, unless there is a clear majority alliance.
