New Delhi: India reportedly carried out air strikes on terror camps, occupied by the Jaish-e-Mohammed across the Line of Control, around 3.30 today morning. National News agency ANI has reported that 12 Mirage 2000 Fighter jets of the Indian Air Force dropped 1,000 kg bombs on terror camps.

The early morning air strike is a retaliation to the deadliest attack in Pulwama where the Pakistani based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed had killed 40 CRPF men at Pulwama in Jammu & Kashmir.

ANI also reported that the bombs were dropped exactly on the targeted areas, especially in the control room of the Jaish-e-Mohammed, and destroyed it completely.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is meeting with ministers in the Cabinet Committee on Security to analyse the current situation.

The air strikes by the Indian Air Force comes after two weeks of the Pulwama terror attack where 40 CFPF men were killed when a suicide bomber in a car rammed into the buses which were carrying the soldiers. The attack was executed and implemented by the Jaish, a terror outfit headed by Masood Azhar.
