Mahinda Rajapaksha swears in as Prime Minister of Sri Lanka
Mahinda Rajapaksa, brother of Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, has sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Srilanka. This is the first time that two brothers are in the president and prime minister's positions in the country's history.
Between 2005 to 2015, Mahinda served as the president. He is credited with a military victory during his presidency that ended a 26-year-long separatist civil war with ethnic Tamil rebels.
