MUMBAI: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis sets evening deadline to fix the primary responsibility of the foot overbridge collapse near the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus railway station in Mumbai. Fadnavis today said that he has asked the Brihanmumbai Municipal Commissioner to do an initial investigation and "fix primary responsibility by the evening".

Fadnavis was speaking to reporters after visiting the injured persons at St Georges Hospital.

 

Six people were killed and 33 injured after a portion of a foot overbridge collapsed on Yesterday evening. The bridge connects the Times of India building lies just opposite to the iconic railway station.

Investigations are going on to find the exact cause behind the foot overbridge collapse. Meanwhile, the Railway Ministry has blamed squarely on the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for the bridge collapse who had done a recent audit.
