Tej Pratap Yadav’s estranged wife and Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai may contest against Tej Pratap in the upcoming elections in Bihar. Aishwarya’s father Chandrika Rai in an interview said that his daughter can contest the assembly election. He said his daughter is free to take her decision and he will support it.
Aishwarya married Tej Pratap in 2018 but the latter filed for divorce and since then there have been bitter relations between the two families. Chandrika Rai quit Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and joined Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal United (JDU).
Speculations are rife that Tej Pratap Yadav who won from Mahua in 2015 is contesting from a different place. He recently addressed a rally in Hasanpur in Samastipur district leading to speculations that he may contest from this place.
