Mumbai: Maharashtra NCP MLA Dileep Sopal announced on Monday that he will quickly be joining the Shiv Sena and contesting the upcoming elections of the Maharashtra Assembly. Sopal, who represents the Barshi Assembly in the Solapur district, served as a minister of state cabinet in the past coalition government of the Congress-NCP. At a meeting in Solapur on Monday, he said, "I'm going to join Shiv Sena in the coming days and contest the state elections." Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray's close assistant also confirmed that Mr Sopal is going to join the saffron party.
