The Congress-Janata Dal (S) alliance government in Karnataka expanded the cabinet after two weeks wait and talks which led to many discussions and stories regarding the credibility of the alliance. 25 more ministers took oath and assumed to power in the HD Kumaraswamy ministry.

14 MLAs from Congress and nine from JD(S) became ministers took oath on yesterday including N Mahesh from BSP.  This is the first time that BSP gets a minister outside Uttar Pradesh. R Shankar which is the lone MLA of Karnataka Prajnavantha Janatha party also included in the cabinet.

Congress MLA and actress Jayamala is the only woman face in the Kumaraswamy ministry. None of the ministers have received their posts so far as it will be decided later.
