Delhi: Former JNU student and activist Umar Khalid, jailed in Tihar for five years, has received support from New York City’s new mayor, Zohran Mamdani, who wrote him a solidarity letter. Reacting to this, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh attacked Mamdani, accusing him of weakening Dr B. R. Ambedkar’s Constitution.
