Mumbai: The Governor of Maharashtra and Gujarat, Acharya Devvrat, paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar by visiting the Chaityabhumi Memorial on December 6, in Mumbai, on the occasion of the 69th Mahaparinirvan Diwas.
Attending the memorial were Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Minister for Skill Development Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister of Cultural Affairs Adv. Ashish Shelar, Minister of Social Justice, Sanjay Shirsat, and Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Anna Bansode.
Also present were Dr Narendra Jadhav, Chairperson of the Maharashtra State Trilingual Policy Committee; Anandraj Ambedkar, grandson of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar; BMC Administrator Bhushan Gagrani; Principal Secretary of the Social Justice Department Dr Harshdeep Kamble; and others.
