Senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia mocked BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur for her comment that "marak shakti" (killing power) is being used by the opposition to damage BJP officials. For bringing such a person into politics, he asked the saffron party to "introspect." On Monday, Pragya Thakur said the opposition used "marak shakti" to hurt BJP leaders, and the "evil spirit" was behind the latest fatalities of Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj, former Union ministers. She addressed a condolence meeting at the BJP office in Bhopal to pay tribute to Arun Jaitley and the former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, Babulal Gaur, who died last week. Mr Scindia said he was disappointed that such remarks had been made by a individual sitting on a responsible position.
