Mumbai: Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan offered floral tributes at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Wednesday, to Sant Rohidas, who was born on this day.
Secretary to the Governor Dr. Prashant Narnaware, Deputy Secretary to the Governor S. Ramamoorthy, Comptroller of the Governor’s Households Jitendra Wagh, staff and officers of Raj Bhavan and State police were present on this occasion.
Sant Rohidas is another name for the 15th to 16th-century poet-saint Ravidas, a key figure in the Bhakti movement. He was a social reformer, spiritual teacher, and leather craftsman.
Prime Minister Narendra also paid tribute to Sant Guru Ravidas on his birth anniversary and shared a video of his thoughts on the revered saint.
Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, said on X andsted, “Hearty congratulations to all of you on the birth anniversary of Sant Guru Ravidas ji. His teachings give us the message of service to humanity, social harmony, and brotherhood—-—se ideals of his will always guide us.”
