Lucknow: For defying whip and attending the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly's 36-hour special session, the Congress issued a show cause notice to Rae Bareli MLA Aditi Singh on Friday. Within two days, she was asked to submit the answer. "The party decided to boycott the house's two-day session and also released a whip to ensure that it was not attended by any MLA. You were also told individually about it, but you ignored the party orders," Congress Legislature Party leader mentioned in the notice. Singh also remained absent from Congress's Gandhi Jayanti functions led by party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi on October 2.
