Mumbai: Bollywood actor Urmila Matondkar has resigned from Congress party, she joined the Congress in March this year. "My political and social sensitivities refuse to allow vested party interests to use me as a means of fighting petty in-house politics rather than working on a larger objective at Mumbai Congress." Matondkar recently criticised the behaviour of Sandesh Kondvilkar and Bhushan Patil, close associates of Sanjay Nirupam, a former president of the Mumbai Congress, during campaigning in a letter addressed to the party president.
