Wrestler champion Babita Phogat and her dad Mahavir Phogat joined the ruling BJP today ahead of this year's elections in their home state of Haryana.

Babita Phogat, 29, is a three-time gold and silver medallist from the Commonwealth. She and her father inspired the 2016 "Dangal" Bollywood blockbuster featuring Aamir Khan about Babita and her older sister making it big in their father's male-dominated wrestling world.
