Katra: On September 2, in the afternoon, a major landslide caused a major accident near Sanchhi Helipad on Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan Road.

There is news of the death of two devotees in this landslide, while a girl has also been injured in this accident. 

Eyewitnesses told IANS that Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board immediately started relief and rescue operations, but the accident was so massive that two people died on the spot.

The family members of the deceased came from Kanpur. They said that they had left Kanpur on 30th August and were returning after darshan, but little did they know that their daughter-in-law would lose her life in the unfortunate incident.
