Affordable health insurance plan for SBT customers launched

SBI General Insurance and State Bank of Travancore (SBT) Thursday announced the launch of a group health insurance policy for bank account holders and their families.
SBT deputy MD Jeevandas Narayan said that from now on SBI's insurance policy will be available to their customers through their network of branches at an affordable premium.
"For a 35-year-old adult, it will just cost Rs.1,300 per year to have a Rs.100,000 cover. We see great potential for this product in Kerala," said Narayan.
Various benefits under the policy includes no pre-policy medical test up to the age of 65 years for people with no medical history and has a wide coverage of 142-day care procedures, which is one of the highest in the industry.
Bhaskar J. Sarma, MD and CEO of SBI General Insurance, said their policy is designed to protect the happiness of the family with its affordable premium.
