India bags six medals!

India won 6 medals (1Gold, 1Silver & 4 Bronze) on October 22 and 11 medals (5 Silver & 6 Bronze) on October 23 at 2nd Asian Para Games 2014.

Parmar Parul Dalsukhbhai stood tall among winners by snatching Gold Medal in Women’s Singles (SL 3), Badminton, whereas paraplegic Deepa Mailk bagged Silver medal in Javelin Throw. At the end of the day 6, India’s medal tally was 33 odd medals (3 Gold, 12 Silver and 18 Bronze).

The other sportspersons who won medals are, Karamjyoti,  Athletics – Shot-put (F55/ F56) Bronze, Pramod Bhagat, Badminton – Men’s Singles (SL 3) Bronze, Prashant Karmakar , Aquatics – 100 M Breast Stroke (SB9) Bronze and Sharath Gayakwad Aquatics – 100 M Back Stroke (SB8) Bronze.
