Kolkata billboards to celebrate Sachin's genius

In the run-up to batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar's penultimate Test match before bhis retirement at the Eden Gardens here, as many as 20 hoardings displaying praises showered on him by cricketing legends will go up in the city, an official said Friday.
The list includes former South African batsman Barry Richards, West Indies skipper Viv Richards and India's first World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev.
"The billboards will display praises and comments on Sachin by renowned cricketers…they will be put up at strategic spots across the city so that everybody can have a look," Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) treasurer Bishwarup Dey told IANS.
Tendulkar announced early this month that the two-Test series against the West Indies will bring the curtain down on his illustrious 24-year-long career.
The cricketing legend will be playing his 199th Test at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata Nov 6-10 and the farewell match at the Wankhede in Mumbai Nov 14-18.
