MRF increases profit, declares final dividend of Rs.24

Automobile tyre major MRF Ltd Thursday said it has closed the last financial year with a growth in net profit of Rs.230 crore as compared to previous year and its board has recommended a final dividend of Rs.24 per share.
In a statement issued here, the company said it closed the financial year ending Sep 30, 2013 with a total income of Rs.13,482 crore and a net profit of Rs.802 crore up from a total income and net profit of Rs.13,094 crore and Rs.572 crore respectively logged the previous year.
During the period under review, the company's exports totaled Rs.1,293 crore as against Rs.1,281 crore for the previous year.
The company's board recommended a final dividend of Rs.24 per share. With two interim dividends of Rs.3 each paid earlier in the year, the total dividend for the year ended Sep 30 stands at Rs.30 per share.
