What worked for the device?
 
The box contained the mobile, a charging adapter and a lightning cable. The phone looked new, was laminated and there were no scratches or smudges on the screen or the body.
 
As far as chassis was concerned, I didn't notice any dents on it and the buttons worked fine. But the lustre that a brand new iPhone's paint has was missing a bit though (for me, it was anyway acceptable).
 
Next, I configured the phone and it worked fine. I could directly relate to the rigorous 50-point quality inspection process and GreenDust seal of approval that the company claims to provide.
 
Noteworthy is the operating system. The phone was already updated to the iOS 9.2 version.
 
The camera worked perfectly as there was no compromise in the photo and video quality. Touch was smooth and display was clear.
 
The battery had an eight-hour backup. There was no problem in connecting to Wi-Fi and the phone ran smooth on 4G as well.
 
What did not work?
 
Although the phone ran like a charm, it lagged during the configuration. It took a bit more time than it generally takes (as compared to brand new iPhone that I'm using) to authorise my credentials with the Apple.
 
Also, the phone was a bit slow while "syncing" through iTunes.
 
The company loses maximum points for not providing the original accessories – the phone adapter and the lightning cable – with the mobile.
 
As far as the price is concerned, the model is available for Rs.22,777 on the GreenDust website while The new iPhone 5S Gold 16 GB variant is available for Rs.32,999 on Amazon.in. So a real good deal.
 
Verdict: No doubt the device works like a new one. A refurbished phone from GreenDust offers you warranty, after sales services, satisfaction and most importantly no risk.
