Srinivasan to represent BCCI in ICC Board Meeting

Beleaguered former Indian cricket board president N. Srinivasan will represent the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an International Cricket Council (ICC) Board Meeting being held in Barbados from Monday.
Srinivasan, who was barred from heading the BCCI, will chair the Board Meeting that will take place on June 24 and 26, the ICC announced on Saturday.
The ICC Board Meeting (10 Full Members and three elected Associate Member representatives) will be held two days after the ICC Annual Conference that begins on Monday with the Associate and Affiliate Members’ meeting.
However, BCCI incumbent president Jagmohan Dalmiya's reason for his absence from the crucial meetings of the world cricket governing body has not been disclosed.
BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur will be India’s representative in the Chief Executives’ Committee Meeting scheduled to be held on Monday and Tuesday.
In the Chief Executives’ Committee Meeting, Srinivasan and ICC Cricket Committee Chairman and legendary leg-spinner Anil Kumble will also be present.
The ICC Annual Conference is being hosted by the West Indies Cricket Board with the support of Barbados Cricket Association and Barbados Tourism Marketing Incorporated. This will be the first time the ICC’s annual meetings will take place in the West Indies and with delegates from over 50 ICC Members expected to attend, it will be the largest-ever gathering of cricket administrators in the Caribbean region to date.
Key issues on the agenda of meetings include amendments to ICC’s Memorandum and Articles of Association, investiture of new ICC President, ICC Associate Membership application from Serbia, updates on the status of Sri Lanka Cricket and United States of America Cricket Association, a report from the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Security Unit, recommendations on cricket and development matters from recent committee meetings and ICC strategy post-2015.
