NASHIK: A six-year-old boy was rescued on Thursday after falling into a 200-foot deep borewell in Nashik district of Maharashtra. In the morning, police said, Ritesh Jawansingh Solanki, the boy, fell into an open borewell while playing in Bej village in Kalwan tehsil. 

The police were alerted and a rescue operation was launched immediately. A rope was lowered inside, and the boy, who had been trapped at a depth of 50 feet but was conscious, was pulled out after three hours.
