Four employees were feare

Bhubaneswar,At least four employees are feared to be trapped while nine were wounded in a landslide at Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) open cast mine in Odisha's Talcher, a Wednesday official said.

"Workers in the night shift at Bharatpur open cast mine in MCL's Talcher Coalfields came under a strata failure dump slide," an MCL declaration said.

The accident took place from 11 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. When a part of the earth broke loose on Tuesday trapping 13 employees and equipment at job, he said.

The fellow laborers and rescue teams jumped into action instantly and saved nine employees who were transferred to Talcher's Central Hospital for minor injuries therapy. To recover four missing employees, rescue operations are ongoing.

The Director of MCL (Technical / Operations) and the Director (Personnel) rushed to Talcher to supervise the rescue activities.
