Bengaluru: The former deputy chief minister G Parameshwara's personal assistant Ramesh committed suicide on Saturday in Bengaluru, police said, a day after the income tax department searched for medical colleges and other premises related to the Congress leader. Deputy police commissioner (West) B Ramesh said Ramesh's body was found hanging from a tree in the Gnana Bharathi area "He seemed to have committed suicide. We are checking the details".  Ramesh was with Parameshwara during the raids, but a senior I-T official said neither was he covered in the department’s action nor was his statement recorded.
