Chennai: After a wall collapsed in a village this morning in the Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu in the midst of heavy rain, 15 people were feared dead.  Nine bodies have been recovered so far. It is probable that heavy rain will continue to hammer parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry today after the last few days normal life has been hit in several districts in the two southern states. A red alert was sounded in several parts, the likelihood of heavy to very rainfall. With several waterlogged areas, in Chennai and Tuticorin, Tiruvallur and Kancheepuram, schools and colleges will remain closed.
