More Troops being sent to

Less than a week after shifting 10,000 paramilitary troops to Kashmir, as part of a huge safety drive, the center is rushing around 25,000 more paramilitary staff into the Valley. Official sources say the soldiers arrived on Thursday morning and are inducted in different areas of the state.Last week, the government had said that 100 firms were brought in (each firm has about 100 troops) to reinforce the Kashmir counter-insurgency grid. The choice to send the soldiers came after last week's return from a two-day visit to the Kashmir Valley by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.

Jammu and Kashmir Police Director-General Dilbag Singh said there are fewer soldiers in North Kashmir last week and that's why extra forces are needed.
