Kolkata: Union Minister Smriti Irani criticised West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday for her opposition to the NRC, stating the BJP-led Center government is dedicated to protecting the rights of every citizen of the nation. The illegal infiltrators will be dealt with as per law, she asserted. "No Indian will be left out, we are dedicated towards protecting the rights of the citizens of the country," the union minister said on NRC. Mamata Banerjee's belligerent stance prevents the state's citizens from taking advantage of the central government's benefits that could have reached farmers, women and children.
