Today Assam government banned manufacture of pan masala, gutka which have Tobacco and Nicotine for one year. The order issued by the food safety department under clause (a)of subsection 2 of section 30 of the Food Safety and Security Act, 2006.The notification signed by Assam commissioner of food safety. Beside this notification said, "other chewing materials contain tobacco and nicotine is also banned in Assam."
