A Patna Court on Saturday granted bail to  Rahul Gandhi in a  defamation case filed by Sushil Kumar Modi, deputy chief minister of Bihar..

Modi had lodged a case in April  with the Patna CJM court  against Rahul for calling all people with Modi surname as thieves at an election rally. He pleaded not guilty before the court and said that all allegations against him were false.

He has been released on two sureties of Rs.10,000 each for regular bail.
