Bangaluru: Rebel Congress Legisltor and former Minister of State R. Roshan Baig was arrested at the  Bengaluru airport, police said.

"Baig was arrested at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) for questioning when he was about to take off from Bengaluru on a private aircraft to an unconfirmed destination," Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) Ravikantha Gowda said in a statement.

"We're going to check whether Baig's sudden plan to leave Bengaluru has anything to do with the latest release of a Youtube video by Mansoor Ali Khan's multi-crore Ponzi scheme prime," Gowda said.

On June 19, the Congress also suspended Baig for suspected anti-party operations, including criticism of the state leaders of the party following the latest Lok Sabha elections in which the party was routed in the southern state.
