Chandigarh: On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Vishal Batra, brother of martyr Captain Vikram Batra, remembered his brother and said, “Even today, I see 26 July in the same way as when 26 years ago our brave soldiers defeated Pakistan in the Kargil war.
I salute all those brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for this country.” He also said that because of what Vikram did at the age of 24, he lives on in people’s hearts, so there is no need for a special day to remember Vikram.
