Leading two and three-wheeler manufacturer, TVS Motor Company in a press statement revealed that it sold 2,53,261 vehicles in February 2020 as against 2,99,353 units sold exactly a year ago in February 2019. The company has reported a marginal sales drop.
A company spokesperson said that it is reducing dealer level BS-IV stock in domestic market and is confident that sales will see an uptick as the market moves towards BS-VI norms.
Auto industry which was battling a slowdown is also faced with the outbreak of coronavirus and could face auto components supply crunch since it depends on imports from China in a big way. Efforts are on to tackle the situations that is confronting the industry, the company said in a statement.
