Mumbai: Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) received several complaints on Thursday night about a gas odor that was thought to be due to leakage from different areas of Mumbai. The smell began to emerge from locations such as Chembur, Mankhurd, Govandi, Chandivali, Powai, Ghatkopar and Andheri after 10 p.m. The natural gas distribution company MGL said after receiving the complaints ' acknowledgement that emergency teams have spread to locations where complaints were received. "Apart from the nine fire engines, four emergency vans of MGL have been mobilised. If you still notice the odour please dial 1916 gas leak," the MGL said.
